Child Safeguarding and PSEA Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Version 1.0, effective 22 October 2026. Owner: Lucas Pradel. Reviewed at least once a year.

This policy applies to CARIBID LLC, trading as MotionInk ("MotionInk"), and to its owner, staff, contractors and subcontractors. It is aligned with UNICEF's Policy on Conduct Promoting the Protection and Safeguarding of Children, the core principles on the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) set out in the UN Secretary-General's Bulletin ST/SGB/2003/13, and the UN Supplier Code of Conduct. We have read UNICEF's policy and apply it to our work.

1. What we commit to

1.1 We do not harm children, and we take every reasonable step to prevent harm to them through our people, our work and our products.

1.2 We do not engage in sexual exploitation or abuse of anyone.

1.3 We do not use or benefit from child labour, and we do not take part in any practice contrary to the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

2. Rules for everyone who works for MotionInk

2.1 Sexual activity with anyone under 18 is prohibited, whatever the local age of consent. A mistaken belief about a child's age is not a defence.

2.2 Exchanging money, employment, goods or services for sex, including sexual favours or any other form of humiliating, degrading or exploitative behaviour, is prohibited.

2.3 Sexual relationships with the people we serve or with the staff of a client or beneficiary organization, where the relationship comes from a power imbalance in our work, are strongly discouraged and may be prohibited by a client's rules, which we follow.

2.4 We do not use our work, our tools or our access to produce, store or share material that sexually exploits or abuses children.

2.5 We treat all people with respect and dignity.

3. Contact with children

3.1 Our work is software, AI and digital analytics. We do not seek direct contact with children through it.

3.2 If a client contract makes contact with children or access to child-related content or data unavoidable, we do it only under that client's safeguarding rules, with the minimum number of people, never alone and never in private channels, and with written authorization from the client.

4. Child-related data and digital products

4.1 We collect, use and keep data about children only when a client's contract requires it and the law allows it, only the minimum needed, and under our Information Security and Data Protection Policy.

4.2 We do not profile children, use their data for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

4.3 When we build products that children may use, we apply the age, privacy and safety rules that apply to the client and the country, and we raise any risk we see with the client.

5. Recruiting and engaging people

5.1 We engage only adults and verify their age with a government-issued identity document.

5.2 Before engaging a contractor or subcontractor we ask for a written statement that they accept this policy and that they know of no reason why they should not work near children or vulnerable people. Where a client requires background checks, we carry them out as the contract requires.

6. Reporting

6.1 Everyone who works for MotionInk must report a concern, or a reasonable suspicion, about a child or about sexual exploitation or abuse, without delay: write to lucas@motionink.ai or hello@motionink.ai. Reporting is mandatory, and a report made in good faith never leads to retaliation.

6.2 If the concern involves the owner or a client engagement, or the person prefers, they may report directly to the client's safeguarding or ethics office. For work with the United Nations they may also report to the Office of Internal Audit and Investigations of UNICEF through the channels published on unicef.org.

6.3 If a child may be in immediate danger, call the local emergency services first, and then report.

6.4 We tell the client without delay of any incident that involves its work, as the contract requires, and we keep the information confidential and share it only with those who must act on it.

7. Response and consequences

7.1 We act on every report: we protect the people involved, stop any risk, keep records and refer the case to the right authority or to the client.

7.2 A breach can lead to immediate removal from our work, ending a contract, and reporting to the authorities.

8. Subcontractors and review

8.1 Everyone we subcontract to must accept this policy in writing before work starts.

8.2 The owner reviews this policy at least once a year and after any incident, and records the review.
