Cookie policy
Last updated:
This site works without measurement cookies. Today it uses none: it only keeps your answer to the question about cookies. If we ever measure how the site is used, it will be only with your permission, and you can change your mind at any time.
What they are
Cookies are small files a site keeps in your browser. There are similar technologies, such as local storage, that do the same job. They can be necessary (for the site to work or remember your preferences) or for measurement (to learn how it is used).
What we use today
Google Tag Manager is installed, but it loads no measurement tag and sets no cookie of its own. Whether you accept or not, no measurement cookie is set today.
| Name | Who | What for | How long | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| motionink-consent | MotionInk (local storage) | To remember whether you accepted or declined measurement. | 12 months | Necessary |
What we would use if we measure
If we turn on these or other tags, we will update this table first. We use no advertising or social media cookies, and we do not follow you around other sites.
| Name | Who | What for | How long | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics, through Tag Manager | To tell visitors apart in the usage statistics. | Up to 2 years | Measurement, only if you accept |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics, through Tag Manager | To keep the session's state in the statistics. | Up to 2 years | Measurement, only if you accept |
Your consent
The first time you visit, we ask. Until you answer, and if you decline, Google Tag Manager runs with every permission denied (Google's consent mode): no measurement and no measurement cookie. If you accept, they are allowed until you withdraw it or 12 months pass, and then we ask again.
You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's settings; if you delete the one that keeps your answer, we will ask again.
Third parties
Measurement cookies, if we turn them on, would be set by Google, which has its own privacy policy and processes that data in the United States (see the privacy policy).
Changes
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and, if needed, ask for your permission again.
